Synopsis
Vanille is a beautifully appointed world of baroque splendour – at least when one is wearing a set of special glasses. But behind the technological illusion lies an ugly reality, where danger and violence lurk outside every padlocked door. In this tug-of-war of fantasy and fact, a man tries to maintain a normal relationship with his son. Based on the short story by Daniel H. Wilson, ‘The Nostalgist’ was named best short film at the Giffoni Film Festival.
