Synopsis
‘Mary’ showcases a bittersweet story about the daily life of a 65-year-old woman, Mary, and her beloved 70-year-old husband, Robert. Throughout the story, Mary tries her best to be the perfect wife by supporting Robert and always being there whenever he needs her. She supports her husband while he tries to find a job. Until one day, Robert comes home with a new contract. Mary soars with excitement and does her very best to take care of and support him even more. They continue to live happily before a certain twist occurs, revealing the sad reality Mary has been hopelessly living in, and trying to hide and run away from for many years. A circumstance that took place long back, which shook Mary and deeply affected her, changing her life forever.

About the Director
Abdulaziz Mohammed Khashabi is a Qatari engineer and filmmaker. He has had a passion for animation films ever since he grew up watching cartoons and Disney classics. He has written numerous scripts, including a feature film, several short films, and a traditional Qatari series. He is known for his short film 'The Unlucky Hamster', which won the Made in Qatar Special Jury Award at the Ajyal Film Festival 2019. In addition, he has directed and produced other short animated films such as 'Hope', which won the best short film award at Ajyal Film Festival 2020, and 'Revenge Knows Nothing'.
Abdulla Mohammed Al-Janahi is a Qatari filmmaker with a passion for making a difference through his unique work. He firmly believes that through the power of creativity and animation, a person can do magical things. He has written several scripts for feature and short films and has worked on a traditional Qatari series. He is the writer and director of the short film 'Hope', which won the best short film award at Ajyal Film Festival 2020. In addition, he produced the award-winning short film 'The Unlucky Hamster', and wrote and directed the short 2D film 'Revenge Knows Nothing'.
