What can I expect from the Ajyal Jury programme this year?

This year, the Ajyal Jury programme returns fully in-person, offering a meaningful opportunity for jurors to engage deeply with films and participate in enriching workshops and masterclasses at the Katara theatres. As a juror, you’ll be part of events that explore the transformative power of cinema, including the Jury Opening Ceremony, Ajyal Spotlights, and Ajyal Talks—all within the supportive environment of our Jurors’ Hub.

We’re also bringing back the Ajyal Jurors’ Lounge—an inviting outdoor space designed for Hilal and Bader jurors to reflect, connect, and share experiences before and after their scheduled activities. Due to popular demand, the food kiosks will also be back, offering a variety of snacks for jurors to purchase throughout the event.

How will jurors attend Ajyal this year?

Jurors are required to attend their full programme in person at Katara, immersing themselves in every aspect of the experience.

Please observe the following important guidelines:

1. Mohaq Jurors: Parents must accompany their child to the Ajyal Jurors’ Hub entrance for check-in and return for check-out. Unaccompanied Mohaq jurors will not be allowed access.
2. Jurors’ Access: Mohaq jurors are limited to the Jurors’ Hub only (no access to the Jurors’ Lounge) for their safety.
3. Hilal and Bader Jurors: These jurors are allowed to check in and out independently without a parent or guardian.
4. Programme Access: The programme is exclusively available to registered and accredited jurors.
5. Meals: We encourage jurors to have lunch before their scheduled programme to fully engage in the activities without interruption.

The standard one-time fee for Qatar-based jurors is 500 QAR, with the following discounts available:

1. The early bird fee is only 250 QAR for those who register before 21 September.
2. A sibling discounted fee of 350 QAR each for multiple siblings participating together.
