Synopsis
Tristan’s father is deaf, and also happens to be an amazing football player. His dream is to coach his son’s team, but because of his impairment, the club denies him a fair chance. Tristan is disappointed: he knows his father would be a phenomenal coach, so he sets out to prove it. ‘Hear This!’ is a sweet, inspirational documentary that teaches us that any obstacle can be overcome if we set our minds to it.
About the Director
Soulaima El Khaldi was born in Amsterdam in 1979. A Dutch journalist and filmmaker, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and a Master’s in Journalism. In her work, El Khalid focuses on social issues and cultural diversity. Her short film ‘Hear This!’ has screened at the Providence Children’s Film Festival, IDFA, and the CineKid Festival.
