Synopsis
In an abandoned attic, a little robot voice recorder named 'REC' sits lonely and unused. When a songbird perches itself on a window nearby, REC tries to communicate with it, but his last recording is frightening to both of them. Undeterred, he goes about enticing the bird back so he can record it before his battery runs out. 'Just for the Record' is a gorgeously animated short about communication and overcoming differences before it's too late with a surprisingly dark twist.
About the Directors
Vojin Vasović is a film and theatre director, scriptwriter and producer, and an animation teacher at The Academy of Arts in Belgrade. His films include '5 Minutes Each', 'Twice Upon a Time', 'Breathtaking', and have been shown in more than 150 international film festivals for which he has won over 50 awards. He currently operates the To Blink Animation Studio based in both Belgrade and Toronto.
