Synopsis

This stunningly animated work tracks the progress of the dignified polar bear over the ice floes of its Arctic habitat. Changes in the global climate, however, are melting the snow and ice of the ice caps, and ‘Nanuuq’ laments what is to become of these animals if their stomping ground disappears. An homage to Nature herself, this short is a plea to us all to be mindful of the destructive power of our misuse of the environment.

About the Directors

Jim Lachasse was born near Orléans, France, in 1993. Always fascinated by wildlife, he became interested in drawing as a youngster and attended the École Emile Cohl with the intention of becoming an illustrator or cartoonist.
