Synopsis

Toni, a 15-year-old Roma boy, lives in the largest illegal settlement in Europe, on the outskirts of Madrid. Proud to belong to his family of scrap dealers, he follows his grandfather everywhere. But as the demolitions move ever closer to their plot, the family begins to fracture—some choose to integrate into the city—while his grandfather refuses to leave, no matter the sacrifice. On dark nights without electricity and landscapes from another time, Toni must decide: set off toward an uncertain future or hold on to a fading world and the legends of his childhood.
