Synopsis

When Basilio and his mother, Inés, understand that they are dead, they decide to embark on a physical and spiritual journey through a landscape devastated by war. Basilio, who in life became a criminal, is now forced to relive all his past actions endlessly, with his mother as a witness. Throughout this journey, they confront the consequences of Basilio’s deeds and the devastation they caused. Only through great sacrifices can they achieve the redemption they long for, allowing them to discover the true value of life in this land where all hope seems lost.

About the Director

Cesar Augusto Acevedo is the director and screenwriter of the first and only Colombian film to receive the Camera d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival, 'Land & Shade' (2015), which had its world premiere at the 54th Critics' Week. He directed 'The Water Steps,' a short film that premiered at the 55th Critics' Week at the Cannes Film Festival, and 'The Silence of God' (FDC winner), now in post-production. He is currently in post-production on his second feature film, 'Horizonte.'
