Sound of Silence
Spring Grants 2024 - Production Stage
Synopsis
In 1972, Greece is under military rule. Alice, 22, is camping on a secluded beach with fellow hippies, while Cristina, 25, works in the only tavern nearby. One night, the camp is raided by the local police. As she helps Alice escape, Cristina gets injured. Desperate to find shelter, Alice takes her to the nearest refuge, a convent. What they couldn’t imagine is that the sanctuary they seek hides a darker and more sinister threat than the one they were fleeing.
