Synopsis
Traumatised by witnessing her parents’ death on land, 15-year-old May lives with 70-year-old Tuha on a floating house in a lake, having left her homeland after it was turned into a mining area. May faints if she steps on land, leading everyone to believe she is cursed.

About the Director
Loeloe Hendra pursued a Bachelor of Film and Television major and a master's degree at the Indonesian Art Institute Yogyakarta. He directed 'Onomastika' (2014), which won Best Short Film at Festival Film Indonesia 2014, competed in Generation Kplus at the 65th Berlin International Film Festival, and many other festivals. 'Tale of the Land' is his first feature film.
