Jassim Al Mohannadi Jassim Al Mohannadi is the first Qatari/Middle Eastern comic book writer, in Western format. His first book, ‘Primeval’, was published in September of 2019, and has garnered a lot of media attention. Jassim believes that comic books are a compelling way to attract readers’ attention, but does not consider writing comics as a profession. As a third-year student at the College of the North Atlantic, Jassim prefers to focus on his studies for the time being. Maryam Al Sahli Maryam Al Sahli is a film and video editor who has worked with the Doha Film Institute, Al Jazeera Children’s Channel, Ministry of Culture and Sports, and is currently working at Katara Studios. She is also a member of the Qatari film production company Innovation Films, and the first Qatari woman to make film editing her profession. She worked as a Lead Editor on several projects; the first Qatari Sci-Fi show ‘Medinah’ (editing two episodes of the first season), the TVT mini-series ‘Three Knees Deep’, and Katara Studio’s original series ‘The Pact’. |

Ahmed Ibrahim Al Baker A decade of experience in Film and Television, Ahmed started his career as a co-founder of Qatari based production company Innovation Films. Since then, Al Baker has produced a variety of films, television series, commercials, and music videos. Known for his role as a showrunner and creator of the first international Sci Fi/Adventure series from the Middle East ‘Medinah’. Al Baker also directed episodes of an upcoming Katara Studios original titled ‘The Pact’ (Robert Knepper, James Marshall) as well as directing an episode of US/Romania TV series titled ‘Three Knee Deep’. Abby Trott Abby Trott is an actor/singer from Attleboro, Massachusetts. She has lived and worked in Tokyo and New York City, and is currently based in Los Angeles. Abby is perhaps best known for portraying the English voices of Nezuko in Demon Slayer and Annette in Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Ivy in Netflix’s Carmen Sandiego, Windblade in the Transformers: Prime Wars Trilogy, and singing the English version of “Lifelight,” the theme for Nintendo’s Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Some of her other roles in localized anime and video games include Pod 153 in NieR:Automata, Avril Mead in Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown, Mezato Ichi in Mob Psycho 100, Machi in Hunter X Hunter, and Veronica Liones in Seven Deadly Sins. The latest and greatest edition of the ever-popular EA football video game franchise is coming to Geekdom. FIFA 20 features super realistic player motion tracking, updated team tactics and totally immersive stadium atmospheres.
Are you our Player of the Year? Dust off your boots and pull on that captain’s armband because it’s time to leave it all on the pitch at this year’s winner-takes-all FIFA 20 Tournament. This tournament is organized by the Youth Hobby Center.

• The tournament is for FIFA 2020 on PlayStation 4 with the recent updates of the game.

• The half-length is 5 minutes.
• Speed: Fast (unless both players agreed on a change).
• Camera: Tele broadcast (unless both players agreed on a change).
• Level: Legendary.
• Weather: Clear – Night.
• Stadium: has to be Neutral (Unless both players agreed on a change).
• Defense: Tactical Defending.
• Players may change the formation and tactics of their teams and will be allowed time to do so before each match.
• Players are not allowed to pause the game during the match unless except in cases of a foul, throw-in, corner kick or goal kick.

Overwatch
Overwatch is a game played in teams of six, with players selecting from a roster of 30 characters, known as heroes, each with a unique style of play. Teams work together to secure and defend control points on a map or escort a payload across the map in a limited amount of time.
The world needs heroes. Call on your friends, pick your heroes and join our Geekdom Overwatch Tournament organized by Kanpeki team!

General Rules:
• All participants are allowed to bring their own equipment like headphone, keyboard, mouse and controller.
• Tournament Organizers have the right to revoke or revise the event rules at any point during the event as they may see fit to ensure a fair and just experience as deemed necessary.
Overwatch Rules:
• Game version: PC.
• The tournaments are in Single Elimination format.
• Each team can have from six to nine members (6 – 9).
• Each player can only have one battle tag and it cannot be changed in the middle of the tournament.
• Game Settings: Competitive play rules (locked characters in the competitive play mode will not be included in the tournament).
• Players are not allowed to change their roles in the middle of the match, roles can only be changed after each map is completely finished (attack and defense).
• All the qualifying rounds are best of 5 (First to 3).
• Control, hybrid, assault, payload, control for tiebreaker.
• Loser chooses the map without changing the map mode.
• The organizers can change the rules anytime if needed.
• You can bring your own mouse, keyboard or headphones if you want.
• Controller can be used (controllers are not going to be provided by us).
• If the match had technical issues in the first minute and a half from the match then the match will be reset (without changing the map) otherwise paused and un-paused.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is a fighting game featuring Nintendo’s ‘all-stars’ as playable characters. The gameplay is a dramatic departure from other fighting games, such as Street Fighter. Instead of winning by depleting an opponent’s life bar, players seek to knock opposing characters off a stage to win.
Mario vs Pikachu?!? Take control of your favorite Nintendo character and prepare to do battle in our Geekdom Super Smash Bros Tournament organized by Super Smash Bros. Qatar. You better have good balance though, one slip and it could be curtains.

- DFI is a non-profit, non-governmental and non-political organization dedicated to establishing the State of Qatar as a major international, cultural, artistic and educational center and is organizing and hosting the “Ajyal Film Festival 2019” between 18 November 2019 and 23 November 2019 (the “Festival”).
- As part of the Festival, DFI will also be organizing the Geekdom Exhibition (from 19 November 2019 until 23 November 2019 (inclusive) (the “Exhibition”) to showcase artwork by local and regional artists.
- The Exhibitor has been officially selected by DFI to showcase its artwork at the Exhibition, subject to the terms and conditions set out in this Agreement.
IT IS HEREBY AGREED as follows:
- LICENSE
- DFI hereby grants to the Exhibitor the limited right, non-exclusive license and permission to:
- participate in the Exhibition, specifically to showcase its artwork to the public for the duration of the Exhibition; and
- offer such artwork for sale to the public.
- DFI hereby grants to the Exhibitor the limited right, non-exclusive license and permission to:
- TERM
- This Agreement shall be deemed to commence with effect from the Effective Date and shall continue in full force and effect until both Parties have fulfilled all of their obligations hereunder.
- In the event that the Exhibitor is a no-show or cancels its participation in the Exhibition, DFI shall be entitled to charge the Exhibitor a cancellation fee of QAR 3,000.00 (three thousand Qatari Riyals).
- EXHIBITOR’S OBLIGATIONS
- The Exhibitor shall be responsible for all costs incurred in relation to shipping and/or delivery of its artwork to and from Building 18, Katara (Cultural Village Foundation, Doha, Qatar). All artwork must be delivered to such location by 19 November 2019 and any submissions that fail to meet this deadline may not be considered for display as part of the Exhibition.
- DFI shall be under no obligation to reimburse the Exhibitor for any costs, fees and/or expenses of any nature whatsoever (including without limitation transport, hotel, meal or subsistence) incurred by the Exhibitor in relation to participating at the Exhibition.
- Under no circumstances shall DFI be responsible for any loss and/or damage of any nature whatsoever incurred by the Exhibitor during the Exhibition.
- INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
- The Exhibitor represents and warrants to DFI that: (i) the Exhibitor has the right, power, and authority necessary to enter into the Agreement and fully perform its obligations hereunder; and (ii) each artwork piece to be displayed at the Exhibition by the Exhibitor, will not infringe on the copyrights or moral rights of any third parties.
- The Exhibitor ensures that its artwork is not in any manner pornographic in nature, likely to defame any third party, or likely to violate a law of the State of Qatar.
- The Exhibitor will indemnify, defend and hold harmless DFI and its respective affiliates, subsidiaries, officers, directors, employees and representatives, from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses of any nature whatsoever, arising from or relating to a breach by the Exhibitor of its representations and warranties contained herein. The Exhibitor’s obligations as set forth in this paragraph, shall survive the expiration or termination of this Agreement.
- GOVERNING LAW
The terms of this Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Qatar, and the Parties hereby irrevocably submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of the State of Qatar, which shall have exclusive jurisdiction in the determination of all matters arising under it.
