More About Our Guest Fahad Al-Kuwari

Fahad Al-Kuwari is an award-winning writer and art director. He began his career in the art department, working on projects such as Mira Nair’s The Reluctant Fundamentalist, as well as several short films with Innovation Films and the Doha Film Institute. Fahad is the joint recipient of a Merit Award from The CIDA Awards for Excellence for developing a production design curriculum for the Virginia Commonwealth University in Qatar, where he guest lectured from 2016 until 2019. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from Virginia Commonwealth University, and a master’s degree in Film and Screen Studies from Goldsmith’s College, University of London. He currently works as a senior content developer at Katara Studios.
