Synopsis
A teenager’s fear of rejection is so debilitating that it takes the form of a threatening presence that hovers between him and the girl of his dreams – just as the perfect opportunity arises for him to approach her. The expressionistic animation of ‘Between You and Me’ vividly captures this struggle, and shows that only by overcoming our inner demons can we obtain what we want in life.
About the Directors
Quentin Haberham is a graduate of the Utrecht School of the Arts. He is a co-director of ‘Between You and Me’, which is also screening in this year’s Festival.
Quentin Haberham, Henry Brummelman and Rutgher Jousma recently graduated from the Utrecht School of the Arts. They brought their different skill sets together to create a short animated film using a mixture of animation techniques. ‘Between You and Me’ is their graduation film.
