Black Country
Spring Grant 2011 - Post-Production Stage
Synopsis
The tanbour is an object of cultural unity; unrestricted by religion or nationalism, this musical instrument exists in contrast to the racial tensions that inundate the new nation being built by the South Sudanese. Music can represent freedom; this documentary demonstrates that it can also be an object of unity in times of incredible change.
