At Geekdom, we love to support Qatar’s thriving creative community. That’s why every year, we open up our event to all talented artists and collectors to help them promote themselves and sell their merchandise to thousands of visitors.

Artists
Our Artist’s Corner is an excellent opportunity for you to demonstrate your skills and sell your artworks to the wider community.
Participation Fee: 200 QAR

Sellers
Our Seller’s Corner is a great chance for you to showcase and sell your collections at the largest event of its kind in Doha.
Participation Fee: 500 QAR

All successful Artist and Seller applicants will be allocated their own 120cm x 60cm table with two chairs, and two badges for the event.

CONCESSION LICENSE AGREEMENT GEEKDOM
  1. DFI is a non-profit, non-governmental and non-political organization dedicated to establishing the State of Qatar as a major international, cultural, artistic and educational center and is organizing and hosting the “Ajyal Film Festival 2021” between 7 November 2021 and 13 November 2021 (the “Festival”).
  2. As part of the Festival, DFI will also be organizing the Geekdom Exhibition (from 8 November 2021 until 13 NOVEMBER 2021 (inclusive) (the “Exhibition”) to showcase artwork by local and regional artists.
  3. The Exhibitor has been officially selected by DFI to showcase its artwork at the Exhibition, subject to the terms and conditions set out in this Agreement.
IT IS HEREBY AGREED as follows:
  1. LICENSE
    1. DFI hereby grants to the Exhibitor the limited right, non-exclusive license and permission to:
      1. participate in the Exhibition, specifically to showcase its artwork to the public for the duration of the Exhibition; and
      2. offer such artwork for sale to the public.
  2. TERM
    1. This Agreement shall be deemed to commence with effect from the Effective Date and shall continue in full force and effect until both Parties have fulfilled all of their obligations hereunder.
    2. In the event that the Exhibitor is a no-show or cancels its participation in the Exhibition, DFI shall be entitled to charge the Exhibitor a cancellation fee of QAR 3,000.00 (three thousand Qatari Riyals).
  3. EXHIBITOR’S OBLIGATIONS
    1. The Exhibitor shall be responsible for all costs incurred in relation to shipping and/or delivery of its artwork to and from Msheireb (Downtown, Doha, Qatar). All artwork must be delivered to such location by 8 November 2021 and any submissions that fail to meet this deadline may not be considered for display as part of the Exhibition.
    2. DFI shall be under no obligation to reimburse the Exhibitor for any costs, fees and/or expenses of any nature whatsoever (including without limitation transport, hotel, meal or subsistence) incurred by the Exhibitor in relation to participating at the Exhibition.
    3. Under no circumstances shall DFI be responsible for any loss and/or damage of any nature whatsoever incurred by the Exhibitor during the Exhibition.
  4. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
    1. The Exhibitor represents and warrants to DFI that: (i) the Exhibitor has the right, power, and authority necessary to enter into the Agreement and fully perform its obligations hereunder; and (ii) each artwork piece to be displayed at the Exhibition by the Exhibitor, will not infringe on the copyrights or moral rights of any third parties.
    2. The Exhibitor ensures that its artwork is not in any manner pornographic in nature, likely to defame any third party, or likely to violate a law of the State of Qatar.
    3. The Exhibitor will indemnify, defend and hold harmless DFI and its respective affiliates, subsidiaries, officers, directors, employees and representatives, from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses of any nature whatsoever, arising from or relating to a breach by the Exhibitor of its representations and warranties contained herein. The Exhibitor’s obligations as set forth in this paragraph, shall survive the expiration or termination of this Agreement.
  5. GOVERNING LAW
    The terms of this Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Qatar, and the Parties hereby irrevocably submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of the State of Qatar, which shall have exclusive jurisdiction in the determination of all matters arising under it.

DFI is not responsible for artwork, material etc.
