This year at Qatar’s largest pop-culture event, we are celebrating our inner-geek with a host of fantastic activities for nerds of all kinds! From our cool cosplay day to edge-of-your-seat video game tournaments, and more – we’ve got something for everyone! So come join us as we showcase everything unique and ingenious in motion arts and visual storytelling at Katara this 29 November to 3 December.
Geekdom is a truly unique community engagement platform. It offers diverse and unique experiences for people to showcase their passion for motion arts and visual storytelling (Art, Film, Video games, Comic books, Animation and Television).

About the Director
Hayao Miyazaki
Hayao Miyazaki was born in Tokyo in 1941. He directed his first feature film in 1979. His lengthy career in animation includes the films ‘Laputa: Castle in the Sky’ (1986), ‘Princess Mononoke’ (1997) and ‘Spirited Away’ (2001), an international phenomenon that broke every Japanese box-office record, won the Golden Bear at the Berlinale and received an Oscar in 2003.
