Synopsis
After the destruction of illegal fishing boats, Oumi Zahra, a woman in her fifties, decides to create a small café in the midst of Lassarga, a fishing village near Dakhla in southern Morocco. Soon, her café becomes the focal point of the village, where various professions related to the sea intersect, fostering new social bonds. She stands out as a woman challenging circumstances in a predominantly male environment, adding complex social dimensions to an already intricate backdrop.

About the Director
Jaouad Babili is a Moroccan director and reporter working across Morocco and sub-Saharan Africa, contributing to several Arab TV channels. His first film, ‘Laazib’, was well-received, participating in numerous national and international festivals and earning several prestigious awards. He is currently working on his second film, ‘Flower of the Sand’. Babili’s cinematographic approach, whether in documentary or fiction, is deeply poetic, offering a liberating departure from traditional journalistic styles.
